I'm a Madrid-based, Vancouver-born writer and editor with more than a decade of experience in print and online editorial production. Most of that time was spent in journalism (although I produced my fair share of sponsored content), but that run ended in 2021 when I accepted a copywriting job at a Toronto-based ad agency. These days, I happily straddle the church-and-state divide that has traditionally defined publishing, and am equally comfortable with long-form narrative journalism and strategic, goal-oriented copy.
As you’d expect, I have a diverse portfolio. I’ve written about architecture, design, food, restaurants, small business, cryptocurrency, and more. My skill set is likewise varied, and along with writing, editing, and reporting, I count content strategy, editorial management, and audience development amongst my core competencies.
Outside of work, I’m learning Spanish, travelling Europe (next up: a road trip to Paris, with stops in Rioja and Bordeaux), and improving my wine knowledge with self-directed study (read: drinking the stuff) and via the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, through which I recently earned my level 3 certification.
